Job Title: NOC Engineer
Job Summary:
NOC Engineer provides support services such as data protection administration (managing data backup systems), systems deployment, patch and vulnerability management, and other server/network administration services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of enterprise backup and disaster recovery system administration
- Provide daily support for both internal and client-based enterprise backup systems
- Administrate, plan, and manage hardware and software as they relate to assigned infrastructure components.
- Focus on the provision of a stable performance environment, enterprise-wide, by monitoring and analyzing problems that occur, ensure they are identified and solved as rapidly and efficiently as possible
- Perform critical incident troubleshooting and incident response during outages or periods of performance degradation
- Monitor and maintain patch management and anti-virus systems.
- Collaborate and communicate with other teams, clients, and vendors in support of NOC team efforts
- Provide consistent feedback to upper management regarding customer issues, challenges, risks, and status of engagements.
- Design and distribute various reports to main points of contact
- Work with remote monitoring software to help maintain client uptime and optimization
- Develop and maintain procedures and ensure documentation exists for all aspects of installations, operation, and monitoring
- Assist with general network administration tasks and management
- Maintain a functional understanding of networking, security, virtualization, storage, and compute technologies.
- Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/ upgrade the infrastructure, such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost-effective
- Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects, providing accurate and consistent status reports

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years working experience supporting technologies listed above.
- Experience troubleshooting server, software, and infrastructure component issues.
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Experience with Azure, AWS, VMware & Hyper-V administration
- Understanding of basic networking technologies
- Relevant education and certifications preferred
- Server administration: 5 years (Required)
- VMWare/virtualization: 3 years (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
