NOC Engineer

Job Description:

– Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer’s network equipment
– Managing any assigned trouble tickets and other projects to resolution
– Proactive monitoring of customer network infrastructure
– Troubleshooting network and server issues
– Maintaining and repairing systems, such as server routing, firewalls, IP switching and remote access protocols
– Providing accurate technical and customer service support and consistent customer communication
– Server Maintenance: Installing Windows Updates & Reviewing Event Viewer Logs, Checking Anti-Virus definitions & backups for failures
– Monitoring Alerts by making tickets for: Server & Site Down alerts, Low Disk Space alerts, Server Hardware alerts
– Escalating for higher-level support to Tier II, Tier III and management
– Create knowledgebase solutions for common issues
– Operate in flexible shifts and on-call rotation
– Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

· Associate degree or Higher

· Network + from CompTIA or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred

· NOC technicians need to be able to work calmly under trying situations.

· Familiar with networking protocols preferably with scripting experience in Python, Bash, and Perl, and must have worked in cloud infrastructure.

· They should be well-versed with the functioning of networking equipment, such as switches, routers, and firewalls, among others.

· Experience with: Layer 2 switching, DHCP and DNS, Linux command line

· Knowledge of: Switching and routing equipment, General networking, VoIP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
