We are searching for an enthusiastic NOC Engineer to join the global network monitoring team in Denver, CO, involving reactive and proactive action on alarms and performance data for several different DWDM networks:

As you will be working on two 6 week rotas of 4 days shifts from 8.00am to 8.00pm followed by 4 days off. Then a 6-week period of 4 night shifts from 8.00pm to 8.00am followed by 4 days off your anticipated annual remuneration could be in the region of $75,000-90,000.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage the 1st line response to alarms prioritizing severity and perform initially troubleshooting

Raise, update, and follow up trouble tickets

Engage vendors and field services whenever necessary and coordinate spare replacement as well as act as remote field support

Keep the managing team up to date regarding critical faults and take part in Route Cause Analysis meetings

Proactively analyse data from network monitoring tools and determine best course of action to prevent faults from happening

Create or update internal documentation regarding actions taken to resolve specific case scenarios so that information can be centralized and shared among the team

Provide KPI reports to the management team

Respect customer SLAs

Competency: Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications

Experience with network monitoring tools

Familiar with ticketing systems

Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a NOC environment supporting enterprise or ISP networks

Basic knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls

Any industry certification is desirable (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc) but not essential

Knowledge and experience with optical networks

Must have good presentation skills

Be able to deliver an excellent customer service

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English

Familiar with any other language is an advantage

DWDM or CWDM

Ciena 6500

Ciena MCP

Infinera equipment’s
