JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary purpose of this position is to be a lead technical mentor in providing directives to contractors or associates within a team and perform support activities, task management, process improvements and implementation of network operational projects for stores, distribution centers, corporate offices, remote offices, and disaster recovery site.

  • Implement network operational projects, including project planning for implementation, coordination, and rollout, apply configurations. documentation, and support team turnover. Provide progress and status reports for duties assigned.
  • Perform collaborative tier 3 network technical support, notification and escalation. In-depth troubleshooting using packet capturing tools. Mentor contractors and provide feedback to support teams on troubleshooting repairs and full-filling work requests. Perform root cause analysis on all severity 3 & 4 network issues.
  • Task management and provision telecommunication services with internal and external locations. Vendor coordination and management of moves, adds changes and deletes of network service requests, not limited to but including system administration of network management systems.
  • Create technical documentation and make improvements to processes and procedures. Perform preventative maintenance for both network hardware and software replacement.
  • Script creation, collect and review performance reports for various systems and report trends on network performance metrics.
  • Billing and invoice audit review to ensures services match contract pricing and work is performed to statement of work.
  • Network disaster recovery test planning, testing and documentation creation.
  • Conduct off hours operational support for escalated problems and incidents to network support teams.

EXPERIENCE, SKILL and ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of experience in managing and working with LANs/WANS, TCP, UDP, IP, VoIP phones, routers, and switches required.
  • 5 years of experience in task management and project management required.
  • 3 years of experience in ITIL Service Lifecycle preferred.

EDUCATIONAL, CERTIFICATE and LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • One Year Certificate from College or Tech School Computer Science related required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Computer Science preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,500.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
