NOC Provisioning Manager

A telecommunications client is looking for a Network Provisioning Manager who will participate in a project involving migrating existing fiber paths within the Central office to other designated paths for future growth of the FIOS network.

Location: Ashburn, VA 20147 – hybrid

Position: Network Provisioning Manager

Pay Rate: $30-32/hr. on W2
Duration: 16 months or longer

Shift: 3rd shift, weekend work is required

Position Summary:

The candidate will participate in a project that will involve migrating existing fiber paths within a Central office to other designated paths for future growth of the FIOS network.

The candidate will work remotely or from the Ashburn – NMC. The candidate will facilitate the movement of fibers within the central office with the assistance of onsite personnel. Once the fibers moves are completed the candidate will then use the various center Element monitoring systems to validate that traffic was successfully restored and customers are up and operational. Work will take place primarily during the hours of 12am – 7am EST. Six days a week.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant network experience.
• Willingness to be on call for some weekends and perform shift work on a flexible schedule.
• PC skills, Microsoft office, google suit.
• NOC/call center experience.
• Knowledge of vRepair/Remedy ticketing systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies like Telephony Switching, Data Communications and Network Routers.
• Familiarity with Fiber connections, LGX- patch panels
• Ability to function in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Even better if you have:

• Prior FIOS Experience
• Experience working in a Central office environment
• Bachelor’s degree.
• SONET ring/DWDM background.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies.
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator).
• JNCIA (Juniper Network Certified Internet Administrator)

Education/Certifications:

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
