ISP/Carrier level company seeking a NOC Supervisor in the Chicago area to lead a team of 9 NOC Techs in their day to day duties
This is a Perm hire role, hybrid onsite/remote, paying $80-100k per year with around 5% bonus and benefits offered. 8 company holidays, 10 vacation days, 3 personal days. Medical, health, dental, and disability insurance.
The end client requires individuals to be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
The NOC Supervisor manages the day-to-day Network Operations Center (NOC) functions, to include scheduling and coordinating daily workload for NOC team, reviewing, and assigning work and trouble tickets, assisting in outage response
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and assign tasks and ticket management to NOC team.
- Review and assign tasks within ProjectManager.com and Asana, and ensure those tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee day to day Network Operations to ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee prompt and complete resolution of any outages.
- Coordinate outage response activity, both internally and customer facing, with cross functional teams and drive activity required to achieve outage resolution
- Engage in training and skill development as required to acquire full understanding and operational knowledge of all network components.
- Compile and evaluate network reliability statistics, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
- Coordinate and support Construction maintenance and deployment activity where it may impact network availability.
- Hold periodic team and 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports.
- Manage and maintain the on-call and OpsGenie schedule.
- Manage and provide, as needed, hands-on technical support work related to the overall health and maintenance of the Network.
- This position will perform escalation support and act as the point of contact in the NOC for all inquiries from the VP of Engineering.
- Assist with the evaluation of new products, systems and equipment for the NOC.
- Manage staff of NOC to include performance evaluations and regular training.
- Assist in the hiring and training of new NOC personnel.
- Training of Support, Field Operations and FST staff on topics pertaining to NOC and Engineering.
- Works special projects assigned by the VP of Engineering.
REQUIREMENTS
- Track record of leadership as a Network Operations Supervisor
- Ability to work onsite in Chicago Loop when required
- Experience in Fixed Wireless Technologies, Infrastructure and Configurations preferred
- Candidate will have successfully passed a Background Check. Start date is contingent on client
