NOC Technician

Job Title: Datacenter Operations Technician
Pay Rate: $40.00 – $47.00
Duration: 12 Months
Hours: 8AM-5PM Mon-Fri
This position is onsite in the San Jose/Santa Clara, CA area.

Job Description:

• Help qualify and troubleshoot new hardware models
• Design rack elevations and run power calculations
• Rack and wire new networking equipment and servers
• Design process improvements for datacenter management
• Work closely with Network Engineering, Compute, and Database teams for site maintenance
• Inventory and documentation of datacenter equipment and spares

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with Linux
• Experience working in large datacenters
• Experience running neat cabling
• Experience testing and verifying copper and fiber cabling
• Ability to lift/move 40 pounds on a daily basis
• Intense attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Junos experience
• Arista experience
• Experience configuring routers and switches
• Experience troubleshooting Dell Power Edge Machines, R-Series, Blade Chassis.

Education:
No education requirements but at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
