NOC Technician

• Proactively monitor, manage, and manipulate the network to ensure performance
• Proactive analysis of data from performance systems, investigate anomalies, resolve, or escalate findings
• Assist in the development of proactive network management mentality and software
• Assist in the development and analysis of network performance KPIs
• Execute operational procedures, update documentation and performance systems
• Troubleshoot network problems with a high degree of skill
• Remain knowledgeable on the evolving network technologies
• Ensure team availability through scheduling
• Support Field Services as Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
• Support Network Operations as Tier 3 support
• Interact with customers and troubleshoot issues
• Escalate network outages
• Provisioning and testing of services
• Assist in troubleshooting and restoration of network
• Follow change control processes for network
• Maintain network security
• Lead or participate in after-action reviews of network performance
• Interact in projects with the commissioning of infrastructure systems
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members
• Contribute to a positive work environment in the team/department
• Participate in emergency response team as necessary
• Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Experience with Cisco R/S troubleshooting and IP/MPLS networks
• Experience in Gulf of Mexico communications environment
• Logistical experience in and around the Gulf South
