MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
As a part of the NOC Transport team, you are accountable to work all Telco related issues in a timely manner with limited market interaction. Transport tickets should be picked up from the Transport Bucket within 10-15 minutes; individuals monitoring the Transport Bucket should assign all the tickets to themselves at the beginning of the shift, and launch all the elements necessary to verify sites or elements are Up/Down. Outage tickets will either be opened via an EBOND system or manually by the technicians. Once outages have been resolved, the remedy ticket(s) should be closed out immediately.
PRIMARY SKILLS:
Apply a broad awareness of surveillance techniques to monitor a variety of data types across global networks and report out on customer impact.
Perform triage, fault isolation, and remediation of Verizon Wireless’ voice and data network events.
Manage and communicate network outages in a timely and effective manner to external teams by communicating technical details and status to customer service centers, technical support organizations, vendors, and executive management teams during network events and major outages.
Actively build relationships with Field Engineers and Management
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:
Experience in one or more of the following fields: telecommunications, network operations, and/or maintenance.
LOGISTICS:
The WNMC operates 24×7 to provide continuous management and support of the wireless network. NOC Transport technicians must be willing to work any shift. 100% Remote.
SHIFT:
Available Shifts: 4×10
Night Shift 10:00 pm – 8:00 am CT (Days off Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Salary: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
