The pay range listed above reflects the FULL pay range for this position. The expected ENTRY pay range is $19.00 to $23.75 per hour, based on qualifying experience and equity within Maricopa County. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

High school diplome or GED

3 years of responsible clerical and/or administrative experience

A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Completion of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System Courses IS-100.b, IS-200.b, IS-700.a, & IS-800 is required within 90 days of hire.

Writes updates to the department’s emergency operating plans

Establishes working relationships with internal and external partners and community stakeholders to collaborate on strategic planning initiatives or emergency response

Develops and implements strategies to collect, track, and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of emergency response, and identifies hazard vulnerabilities and gaps in existing capacities and capabilities

Develops, documents, and provides training on disaster-related topics, including equipment operation to teams, regions, and state and local authorities, partners, and stakeholders
-
Supports and maintains the Public Health Department Operating Center through the performance of regular capability testing of technology resources and coordinating with OET, Logistics, Telecom, and others to resolve issues

Maintains the program’s asset inventory management system, bulk equipment inventory, and supply inventory for multiple storage locations, and, periodically assesses space availability, maintenance and accessibility issues, and organization

Assists the accountant and department finance with the maintenance and reporting of program related grants; prepare/complete financial document; enter financial and inventory data into automated systems, spreadsheets, and reports; prepare and submit requisitions for supplies, equipment, and services; monitors and tracks expenditures; participates in, coordinates, communicates, and tracks verification activities for annual asset and supply inventory events and audits

Maintains internal and external partner contact lists, cards, and email distribution lists for the program, Duty Officer communications, and response activation notification alerts

Assists the OPR Program Manager with hiring and exit processes; preparing documents, and scheduling of interviews; submit telecom and badge requests; guide employees through program onboarding or exit processes; collect information for business cards contact lists; and fulfills staffing equipment needs based on their workspace, teleworking, and mission needs

Collects and responds to outpatient provider emergency response plan submissions; monitors program mailboxes; documents, organizes, archives, and communicates incident response, exercise, and meeting minutes; prepares and coordinates or prints administrative and response documents, training materials, and status reports; and, coordinates the use of collaborative spaces

Must be able to participate in emergency response training as scheduled and be available to respond as directed in the event of a public health emergency
