Job Summary:

A MetroNet OSP Commercial Construction Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for assisting a Project Manager and/or managing various aspects of a Commercial Construction project lifecycle directly related to MetroNet high-profile business customers. The PC needs to understand the commercial construction project scope, process, and how to utilize internal and external resources effectively and efficiently. The PC is responsible for organizing, coordinating, tracking, monitoring, and reporting various project resources to assist the PM with the projects scheduled and budget objectives. The PC will use a wide range of tools, software, and/or systems to effectively manage communication, scope definitions, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and reports for the complete project lifecycle.


What you will be doing:

  • Assist with project intake, planning, and documentation that will include but not limited to kick-off calls with internal or external resources to communicate project scope, budget, objectives, schedule, resources, tracking, and risks for projects.
  • Assist with project plan execution that will include but not limited to coordinating and/or facilitating regular project meetings to track progress, document scope creep, document project risks, and collaborate with critical stakeholders on proactive work plans for upcoming days, weeks, and months.
  • Assist with project monitoring and tracking that will include but not limited to project analysis and reporting that will most likely be done within internal systems including but not limited to PEGA, MS Project, Smartsheet, Office365 suite, Q-Manager, Salesforce, and Internet browser
  • Organize and perform any required project data gathering, KPI metrics, and reports.
  • Assist with managing both internal and external stakeholders’ expectations (including customers) by providing meaningful updates on a reoccurring basis through effective and established communications methods and plans.
  • Assist with creating a project schedule and establish the estimated completion date of each construction project based on scope, resources, risks, and unknown. Assist with setting baseline schedule. Assisting with monitoring and reporting on current schedule variations compared to baseline schedule.
  • Assist with any required project close out activities including but not limited to coordinating post-mortem meetings, reporting, project closeout documentation, and reporting.
  • Travel based on project requirements.


What You Need for This Position:

  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • 1+ years of telecommunications OSP construction experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Customer-facing project management experience preferred.
  • Must currently be, and always remain, insurable under the company automobile insurance policies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability and experience to stay calm in high pressure situations and actively diffuse escalated situations.
  • Ability and experience to be assertive, tenacious, and professional to drive resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Self-motivation for personal, team, project, and company goals and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability and experience to learn quick and not hesitate to act.
  • Ability and experience to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
