Overview:

The OSP Construction Coordinator will manage workflows, permitting and interface with clients/customers. This role will also require outside plant field engineering in the Austin market as needed. The ideal candidate will be articulate and able to handle a lot of moving parts, with the ability to adapt to changes quickly.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating a wide variety of projects and associated tasks
• Oversee construction from initiation to completion
• Frequent interaction with Engineering teams to identify issue with initial plan design(s)
• Inspection and monitoring of construction activity and contractor activity
• Issue isolation and resolution in a field environment
• Accurate tracking and reporting on project status
• Approval of contractor invoices

Requirements:

• Aerial & underground knowledge of Telco broadband placement of coax & fiber
• Thorough understanding of NESC standards of building aerial & underground
• Advanced Excel skills/proficiency
• Strong knowledge of Access is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of telecommunications and construction practices
• Travel may be required to surrounding Austin areas as far as Waco, TX
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Contractor must provide hard hat, height stick, and laptop
