Overview:
The OSP Construction Coordinator will manage workflows, permitting, and interface with clients/customers. This role will also require outside plant field engineering in the Dallas market as needed. The ideal candidate will be articulate and able to handle a lot of work-in-progress projects with the ability to adapt to changes quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating a wide variety of construction projects and associated tasks
- Oversee multiple construction projects from kick-off to completion
- Frequent interaction with Engineering & Construction Teams to identify potential issues
- Weekly reporting of project status and material inventory
- Inspection of multiple construction worksites
- Monitoring of multiple contractors to ensure project timeline goals are achieved
- Issue isolation and timely issue resolution on project worksites
- Accurate tracking and reporting on project status
- Approve contractor invoices
Requirements:
- Previous construction experience
- Aerial & underground knowledge of Telco broadband placement of coax & fiber
- Thorough understanding of NESC standards for aerial & underground builds
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Comprehensive knowledge of telecommunications and standard construction practices
- Travel may be required to areas surrounding Dallas, TX
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Contractor must provide laptop, safety vest, hard hat, safety cones, measuring stick, measuring wheel, excel software and software to markup pdf’s preferably Bluebeam
