OSP Construction Inspector

ADB is seeking an OSP Inspector to inspect various job sites for quality, safety, city and customer standards are being met. This candidate has full knowledge of underground fiber install operations. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure adherence to construction maps
  • Safety rules and practices from all governing authorities are monitored closely and enforced
  • Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures as required
  • Review permits and Right-Of-Way (ROW) considerations and requirements
  • Witness and monitor work activities, inspections, and testing in accordance with approved quality plans, site surveillance plans, procedures, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with customer and Industry Specifications while OSP is being constructed
  • Complete “As-Built” forms for delivery
  • Perform quality inspections on work currently performed or work that has been recently completed, utilizing established checklists and/or other quality related documents
  • Maintain records and prepare inspection reports
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • May be required to work nights if work restrictions dictate work to be completed at night
  • Must be able to document work being completed in the field
  • Provide daily updates to Project Manager on overall safety, quality, and production
  • Perform Traffic management of all construction activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 3+ years of underground utilities knowledge required
  • Valid US Driver’s License, clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
