About Our Company

Are you ready to be a part of a company you can believe in, with managers and team members who also believe in you?

We are a fiber optic splicing and placing company, providing splicing and placing services for customers throughout the West Coast. We are a growing company, with our key focus on being professional in everything we do for our clients. We are seeking the best of you to fill our fiber placer position.

Company Culture

Our internal culture is the foundation for this professional focus. For all employees and managers, we have strict requirements for being responsible always, respectful to all, honest 100% of the time, humble, and willing to grow and learn every day, while also being confident in our abilities as a professional team. This a drama-free company, a place where all team members look out for each other’s success and the success of the team. Our team members don’t have a manager or foreman telling them everything to do. They are required to be self-motivated, and operate as leaders themselves when needed.

A Typical Day

The typical day as a member of our fiber optic placing team will have you working on primarily outdoor locations within an hour or two of Portland, OR. You will be working outdoors 90% of the time, which means throughout the year you’ll be in the rain, cold weather, hot weather, roadside work near traffic, etc. You will get dirty, as our locations are sometimes in manholes, dirty and muddy locations, etc.

You’ll be working with other team members, to place cable as designed by our customers’ engineers within a neighborhood, commercial building, data center, or backbone run within or between cities. Cable is run underground through manholes and handholes, as on telephone/power poles.

Compensation

In exchange for these high ethical, work, and behavioral expectations, we compensate our professionals at top pay within the industry. The pay will be $22-$35 per hour, based on experience.

Travel Requirements

Most of the work will be within an hour or two of the Portland, OR area at this time. However, we have work throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho that we might need you to assist with from time to time. Travel for this position can be up to 25-50%.

Daily and Weekly Schedules

Hours worked in a day will vary, as sometimes night work is required to place cable in high-traffic areas. You must be willing to have flexibility in your availability, including some weekends as well when there is a deadline to be met.

Requirements

Do not apply unless you meet all of the below requirements.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age, with a right to work in the U.S.
  • Fluent in English
  • Can work with heavy equipment and tools, with an ability to learn quickly
