OSP Construction Supervisor

Reporting to the OSP Construction Manager, the OSP Construction Supervisor plays a vital role in OSP’s leadership team, facilitating and governing field construction of a 520-mile OSP Fiber Network underground build in Phoenix, AZ. The OSP Construction Supervisor will specifically direct and support the work of our construction crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure all safety standards are met.
  • Must take leadership role in establishing safety culture.
  • Responsible for the overall construction schedule, including the scheduling and management of construction inspections and internal inspectors.
  • Responsible for construction quality, inspection, and true up of quantities.
  • Representing Tilson on site walks or closeout activities with customers and permitting authorities.
  • Must be able to identify issues that will cause delays and apply innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to quality construction practices and ensuring timely close out and delivery of the project schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong knowledge in OSP construction techniques and practices (underground).
  • Must have strong knowledge of industry standard fiber splicing techniques and practices.
  • Two years of direct experience directing and managing OSP construction and inspection crews.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, and Google Earth.
  • OSHA 10 or higher required, or successfully complete within 90 days of hire
  • Valid driver’s license.

Travel Expectations: Travel in or outside the region minimal at 5%
