Overview:
MOUNTAIN, LTD. is searching for an OSP Project Manager to manage multiple projects throughout the West Virginia & eastern Kentucky areas to completion. The OSP Project Manager position plays a key role in tracking, managing, reporting, and completing several projects simultaneously throughout each state. To be successful in this position, candidates must have a Telecommunications background in Construction Management, OSP Engineering, and previous fielding experience with the flexibility to do site surveys throughout West Virginia/ eastern Kentucky as they are received. The OSP Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating & collaborating with the Engineering, Construction, and Subcontracting Teams to ensure projects are completed in accordance with each of their respective timelines.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate the workflow between the Engineering and Construction Teams to drive efficiency
  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously with successful results in West Virginia & eastern Kentucky
  • Read and understand As-Builts
  • Flexibility to conduct site surveys throughout West Virginia & eastern Kentucky as they are received
  • Forecast and troubleshoot project bottlenecks to ensure projects are completed in accordance with each of their timelines
  • Monitor & audit the quality of the work being completed
  • Influence and collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments
  • Daily project status reporting to several departments
  • Projected workweek allocation:
    • 40% fieldwork
    • 60% remote desktop work

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion ensuring project timelines are met
  • Thorough understanding of OSP engineering & construction practices
  • Ability to establish and build strong relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure & achieve deadlines

  • Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience:

  • Previous telecommunication industry experience 3-5+ years
  • Background in Construction Management
  • Background in OSP Engineering 3-5+ years
  • Previous site surveying experience 1-3+ years
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience and education
