Outside Plant Fielder – Telecom (Starkville, MS)

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Outside Plant Fielder in the Starkville / , MS. This is a direct hire role with competitive pay and advancement opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader and work on some innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support large-scale telecom project
• Take legible field notes for the design of construction drawings in aerial, buried, underground, and building applications
• Analyze work site and design requests then determine scope of work to be completed
• Deliver projects within timeline and ensure quality of work completed
• Pay attention to detail and communicate any concerns or updates with the Designers
• Interact with internal and external customers- represent company and our client in a professional manner
• Adhere to all company safety practices and policies

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience with utilities, cabling, or construction also considered
• Some understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant preferred but not required
• Excellent communication for daily interaction with various teams
• Above average penmanship for hand-drawn field notes
• High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required
• Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Willing to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends- continue education for Engineering design and best practices
