We’re looking for a deeply passionate Sports fan to join the Sportsnet Audio team as a part-time Board Operator/ Producer in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to operate and produce live shows and podcasts on Sportsnet 650, in addition to operating live play by play events both in studio and on location. You will partner with management and talent to ensure that the show retains high sports acumen, entertainment, and production values, stays relevant and topical, and is focused on the target audience. You will combine strong sports knowledge with expertise in engaging fans across digital platforms, particularly on emerging audio channels. This role will report to the Program Manager, Sportsnet 650. The position will include working nights and weekends.

What You Will Do…

• Technical producer for live shows and play by play programming
• Support in content creation for live sports talk shows andbe the leader of the prep process
• Monitor and edit audio content from internal and external sources
• Organize scripts, sponsorship elements and daily information required by the talent
• Coordinate with editors to execute the show’s podcasting and digital distribution strategy
• Book the biggest and best names in Vancouver and North American sports
• Repurpose live show content for digital and social media
• Be a liaison between Promo/Sales/Programming and on-air talent
• Attend regular content and programming meetings as needed

• Social Media savviness is a must
• An ability to multitaskand remain cool in stressful situations
• Ability to network and create guest contacts within the sports world
• Creativity and the ability to innovate new ideas
• A team-first attitudewith a drive and determination to complete tasks with others
• A working knowledge of Burli and audio editing software is an asset
• Graduate of a broadcasting or journalism program is an asset
• Ability to work nights and weekends
