Peraton is seeking Rich Media Lead Engineer (Senior Comunications Engineer) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The ideal Rich Media Lead Engineer will be able to design, implement and operationally support digital media infrastructure projects utilizing the breadth of Cisco Unified Communications devices including Video Teleconferencing, WebEx, and Jabber. Strong knowledge of WebEx administration, Video Conference Line , VTC setup/configuration/administration, public switched telephone network, , and Zoom will be required. In addition, the Rich Media Lead Engineer will perform Project Management functions to include the development of a project plan in compliance with the customer’s SDLCM. Work to collect requirements from the diverse customer base, perform the appropriate analysis, develop the strategic roadmap, and all associated documentation. Off-hours work may be required.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Manage Rich Media team projects, daily team activities, and function as client liaison
- Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem solving and troubleshooting
- Interact with Hardware and Software vendors to address issues when necessary
- Use escalation standards and personal judgment to ensure timely resolution of problems
- Provide training and support to team and customers when necessary
- Manage, triage, and resolve escalated trouble tickets from Service Desk
- Work On-Call shift rotations with fellow team members
- Deployment and troubleshooting of Cisco VTC equipment
- Deployment and troubleshooting of Rich Media tools – Jabber, WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, VCL, Voice Quality Conference Manager
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science and 8-10 years experience or MS degree and 6-8 years experience or a high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
- Minium seven (7) years’ experience working in the audio/video teleconferencing /communications/cable/IT industry required
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as functional team manager
- CCT Collaboration Certification is preferred
- Experience with Cisco VTC hardware and software (Cisco Telepresence, WebEx, Jabber)
- Experience with Windows, Windows Server, Linux and Unix (Solaris) OS
- Understanding of TCP/IP and VLANs
- Experience with Cisco Wireless, VOIP, and Video Networks
- Understanding of IP services (DHCP, TFTP and DNS)
- Organizational Skills (ability to organize large amounts of data in a logical manner)
- Excellent Troubleshooting Skills and usage of tools such as ping, telnet and trace route
- Strong communication skills are required
- Excellent documentation skills are required
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical executives and managers
- Competent administrator of mixed-technology solutions
- Act as leader of a structured operations team in support of resolving technical issues
- Availability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during off-work hours and/or extended hours when outages or projects required
- Microsoft Teams and/or Pexip experience a plus
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Moderate Risk) security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a fast-paced Information Technology environment
- Ability to lift or transport items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $80,700
Colorado Salary Maximum: $195,800
