Peraton is seeking a highly motivated, cleared Field Engineer to provide Mission Essential support under the Consolidated Satellite Control Network (SCN) Modification, Maintenance, & Operations (CAMMO) contract

The CAMMO contract maintains the requirement of operational performance through a consolidated service of operations, operation & site support, organizational & depot maintenance, sustainment, modifications and factory/launch compatibility testing for the SCN resulting in reduced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) costs. The CAMMO contract requires employees to perform mission essential functions for high consequence DoD missions during contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic, or other emergency situations.

The Field Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide operational and maintenance support to the Ellison Onizuka Satellite Operations Facility DSCS terminals
  • Provide SATCOM/Remote Tracking Station Contingency Support across Peraton Satellite Control Network operational sites, to include Thule Greenland, Diego Garcia British Indian Ocean Territory, New Boston Air Force Station, New Hampshire, Eastern Vehicle Checkout Facility, Florida, as needed
  • Provide Factory Compatibility Testing support across various factory locations as needed.
  • Provide SATCOM operational support to New Boston Air Force Station as part of a Strike Team member to ensure mission operational requirements are maintained in the event of a work stoppage
  • Perform/lend expertise to troubleshoot CAMMO Satellite Control Network operational issues
  • Provide improvements to Satellite Control Network Remote Tracking Station and SATCOM training documents and processes
  • Perform operations and corrective/preventive maintenance on telecommunications equipment and circuits, RF equipment, secure communications equipment, and computerized systems
  • Documents operations, performance testing, troubleshooting and maintenance activities in job registers and databases
  • Completes paperwork for equipment and spares inventories, and reports
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder on antenna towers, at heights of 40 feet or more, and constantly positions self to work on equipment mounted lower in racks
  • Maintain and update existing hardware and software inventories, and report to proper agencies as required
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert support to Peraton proposal activities to include but not limited to Requests for Information, Basis of Estimates, Color Team Reviews, and direct technical support
  • Provide additional duty support to EOSOF, as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • Current DoD Top-Secret security clearance or higher
  • Bachelor’s Degree and five (5+) years of experience; Master’s Degree and three (3+) years of experience; PhD and no years of experience; High School Diploma/GED and nine (9+) years of experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree can be used to substitute up to two (2) years of experience
    • Associate Degree can be substituted for one (1) years’ experience
  • Two (2+) years’ experiences in operations, maintenance, and support functions
  • Experience with ARTS and RBC operations
  • Active COMPTIA Security+ CE or higher certification
  • Ability to lift 50lbs to waist level unassisted
  • Occasional lifting in excess of the 50lbs is required as part of a two-person lift for larger items. Appropriate personal protective equipment and proper lifting techniques will be used
  • Valid/Current US Tourist Passport
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time as required
  • Willingness to work shifts work as needed


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and seven (7) years of experience; Master’s Degree and five (5) years of experience; PhD and two (2) years of experience; High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience
  • Training experience on ARTS and RBC and RBC-H
  • Familiar with the SCN
  • Familiar with DGS site layout

Colorado Salary Minimum: $55,100

Colorado Salary Maximum: $133,500

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
