PR Manager (Brand and Press Office) – 40-55k plus attractive benefits including up to 10 percent in bonus – London / Birmingham (Hybrid Working, 3 together, 2 wherever)

d will lead on the consumer front. This role will help steer how this message will go out and how it’ll look to our customers. This is just one of the many large scale project we are launching!

What will the role involve as our PR Manager?

  • Reactive press office management – working with our PR agency and supported by our Press Office Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the BT and EE Press Office.
  • Media relations – along with the Press Office Team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists that influence perceptions across our brands.
  • Proactive campaign development and support – you will work with the Press Office Lead to develop and execute proactive campaigns, activities and announcements that support broader company objectives.
  • Trend tracking and insight – you will analyse trends that affect our business and report on them to a range of stakeholders internally as we use them to inform our communications activities
  • Counsel and advice – you will provide communications counsel to a range of internal stakeholders
  • Content development – develop and maintain a wide range of external communications content
  • Crisis management – you will be a key member of our crisis management function with responsibility for assessing and responding to crises across all channels
  • Cross team planning – you will help plan and coordinate across the broader PR team, working into the Press Office Lead and supporting the Head of External Comms
  • Performance management – play a part in the media and social monitoring and performance management for the team
What are we looking for in our PR Manager? You have a variety of the below;

  • Extensive experience working in a fast-paced, consumer-orientated press office environment either in-house or at a PR agency
  • Understanding of the UK media landscape and established relationships, or the proven ability to build key relationships, with relevant media
  • Track record of landing successful proactive campaigns
  • Exceptional written communication skills with experience writing reactive media statements
  • Robust, calm under pressure and persuasive
  • Ability to attend exciting hospitality opportunities and react to crisis during and outside of normal working hours
