The Position

VertiGIS offers a suite of products that allow our customers to rapidly build meaningful applications. Our approach to solving problems begins with our robust GIS platform, is extended with advanced configuration capabilities, and can be further customized through our SDKs and third-party software.

As Product Director for the Telecommunications market, you will be responsible for the vision and strategy that leads the product line while ensuring harmonization across the entirety of the VertiGIS product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and roadmap for all offerings within the Telecommunications product line
• Build the market intelligence capability to generate deep customer insights and communicate this to the rest of organization
• Collaborate with VertiGIS technical leaders to assess developing technologies that may benefit the platform
• Develop business cases for investment in new features and product extensions
• Structure an empirical, iterative approach to validating new offerings to the market
• Clearly prioritize development efforts to maximize the delivery of business value
• Establish metrics to evaluate product success and guide prioritization of future development

Requirements

• A least 5 years’ experience in product management roles
• A proven track record of success in enterprise software, having delivered multiple products to market
• Demonstrated ability to effectively convey complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Values and supports a highly collaborative team-base culture
• Ability to build cooperative relationships across partner and client organizations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• Occasional business travel required (domestic and international)
• Familiarity with GIS concepts would be an asset
• Experience in the Telecom industry would be an asset
• Experience with Azure or Amazon cloud offerings would be an asset
