The Program/Project Manager, DLA

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Agency provides comprehensive, best practice Information Technology (IT) support to the Department of Defense (DOD) and DLA Business Community resulting in high quality information systems, customer support, efficient and economical computing, data management, electronic business, and telecommunications services.

Mission areas on this contract include the sustainment and evolution of an overarching DLA enterprose architecture, determination of proposed solutions, delivery of desired solutions and sustainment of those solutions. Additional missions include research and development efforts to investigate and deliver new capabilities to address DOD and DLA logistics industrial challenges.

Qualifications Include:

• An advanced degree (Master’s degree or higher) in a field applicable to this position, i.e., IT, engineering, logistics, business, operations research, mathematics, or other related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in IT Solutions or Information Business Operations in the public and/or private sector.
• Acknowledged in respective field of expertise as a recognized leader as demonstrated by recent assignments where their expertise has been required to successfully expedite or complete complex engagements.
• 3+ years’ experience supporting DLA.

To qualify for this job, an applicant will be expected to:

a. Be responsible for day-to-day management of project

b. Demonstrate ability to provide guidance and direction for specific tasks and sub-tasks of projects under this task order

c. Possess proven ability to manage multitask projects of high complexity

d. Shoulder responsibility for formulating design, implementation, and management of assigned projects

e. Possess specific, recent, and relevant logistics system management experience in DoD and DLA to include research and development

f. Possess specific, recent, and relevant financial management experience in DoD

g. Provide quality control of projects and interface with client on project specific issues

h. Ensure projects are completed within the estimated timeframes and budget constraints

i. Deliver presentations and leads client meetings
