Job Detail

The Programme Manager Strategic Projects will be part of the Executive Office team that currently consists of 3 people and supports the Executive Management team of NTT GDC EMEA.

The main objective of the role is to drive strategic, mostly cross-department, projects within the organization. The Executive Office acts as an internal incubator: new topics are being evaluated, structured, implemented and eventually handed over to the line organization. Current focus topics are sustainability, digital transformation, organizational transformation, and interaction with the different parts of the NTT group (e.g., GDC Global, NTT Ltd., NTT Holding).

In addition to strategic projects, the Executive Office handles a lot of ad-hoc requests for various topics from all parts of the organization, corporate reporting, and internal communications.

Your responsibilities

• Drive complex cross-department initiatives to implement the strategic direction (define project scope, develop concepts, implement project structures (e.g. roles & responsibilities, timeline, reporting), monitor project progress, changes, costs, timing, risks, dependencies, and issues during project execution and collect Lessons Learned at project closure)
• Analyze, optimize, and implement cross-department organizational processes (Inhouse consultancy)
• Support and optimize reporting of relevant information within the organization and towards the NTT group
• Evaluate requests, research, analyze and visualize relevant information to structure and compile answers to various stakeholders
• Align content for and ensure consistency of NTT GDC messaging across communication channels (internal & external) (e.g. All-Hands-Calls, blog posts, …)

Your profile

• University degree preferably in economics/engineering/computer science or comparable professional experience
• Good experience with common project management methods such as PMP, Scrum (certification would be a plus)
• At least 3-5 years of actual project management / consulting experience as a project lead / team member preferably in an international environment
• Strong background in digital strategy, data analysis, process optimization, reporting, and/or change management, communication desired
• High level of competence in dealing with various internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a structured and conceptual way despite constantly changing priorities
• Above-average willingness to perform, getting-things-done mentality with a high degree of independence and initiative
• Acting with high discretion due to the nature of information circulated in the Executive Office
• Willingness to travel also on international assignments (currently very limited demand)
• English skills (business fluent) in speech and writing (German and/or Japanese skills would be a plus)
