Project Coordinator Level 1 – Project Management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
This individual must have completed post-secondary education and obtained either a College Diploma or University degree in his or her field of specialty. The individual must be able to work well in a team environment, able to take direction from supervisory staff Project Manager(s) in managing multiple projects. The Project Coordinator shall possess entry level understanding of industry practices and standards and is committed to improving on his/her skills within the field of Project Management. In addition, the individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to time management and organizational skills.
Travel will be required, primarily in Southern Ontario. The candidate must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License, their own vehicle as well as proof of current and valid automobile insurance.
LEVEL 1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all phases of the project, from project initiation to project completion
- Prepare project schedules in MS Project and ensure all scheduling conflicts are resolved
- Attend bid walks; understand the project scope of work, acquire relevant information on site, and communicate the information to the Project Manager
- Deliver tender submissions as requested
- Print and review reports and drawings for Project Managers and Construction Managers
- Participate in regular workload meeting
- Assist in office filing processes
- Assist in the estimating process, including contacting sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
- Assist in the preparation of project specific documentation, as directed by the Project Manager, including requests for information, progress draws, change documentation and close out documents
