Project Coordinator (Construction, Fiber/Coax)

CEI’s Fortune 30, global media & technology client is hiring a Construction Specialist to work 10% in field, 90% in office/from home, helping manage multiple Cable Construction projects from initiation to completion in Fort Myers, FL! *CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL FOR CONSIDERATION*

We’re looking for energetic applicants who have Project Management/Coordinator experience with solid experience using Smartsheet to manage workflow, (Salesforce or general construction experience are considered a huge plus).

***This is a long-term W2 hourly contract paying $25 – $30/hr + benefits***

Job Description:

• 10% in field, 90% office Tues/Thurs-Westlinks, Ft. Myers
• Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line cables, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place cable in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and cable trailers.
• Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
• Supports Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.
• Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
• Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer request and complaints.
• Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff who perform tasks in the same function.
• Sets priorities for the team. Assigns tasks and checks work at regular intervals.
• Responsible for ensuring all work performed on the project meets or exceeds client, Local, State or Federal standards and regulations.
• Updating the JT or Polaris entry (Salesforce) QC for path verification.
• Primary contractor interface day-to-day in the field and in turn acts as the NGAN liaison with the Regional Network Technicians.
• New or upgraded power supply in place and operational (in continuity) prior to cut date.
• Overall responsibility of the quality of the NGAN product: from the contractor building and to the operations we hand off to

Skills:

• Great experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Smartsheet.
• Construction or high-pressure Project Management/Coordination experience.
• Field experience with Coax/fiber or experience coordinating IT/Telecom cable construction projects is a huge plus, (EX: CATV, overhead/underground, OSP, Cell Towers, Coax/Cable, 5G upgrades, etc.).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for internal and external vendor relationships.
• Self-disciplined to work well independently and the drive/demeanor to work well within a team.
• Someone who can handle a faster pace/eager to learn.
• Experience using Salesforce to manage project workflow is desired.
• Enterprise level end-to-end job creation is a plus.
