The Project Coordinator provides administrative and logistics support for deployment projects and construction activities. They perform coordination, data entry, data tracking, and project-based work including but not limited to scheduling based on project requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, organize, and maintain project filing system. Keep project files up to date daily.
- Take verbal direction and translate it into actionable steps that are quickly documented and circulated to confirm alignment of all parties involved.
- Coordinate with Technical and Construction personnel to ensure sites and shelters are prepared for third-party crews.
- Assist with coordination and scheduling of project meetings with internal crews and third-party contractors.
- Work with third-party contractors and team to predict future schedules enabling communication of a detailed build plan that includes fiber installation alignment.
- Monitor schedules for construction and third-party vendors to ensure they do not interfere with each other based on scheduled activities.
- Schedule quality control audits for civil and tower side.
- Prepare memorandums, letters, and responses to requests and communications.
- Work directly with other departments/internal teams to collect, convey, and enter data into files, forms and systems related to the project.
- Coordinate drive testing schedule pre and post deployment.
- Make occasional site visits to gain in-the-field experience and training.
- Complete weekly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Add expertise and value to other duties as assigned or needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be proactive and take the initiative to acquire new assignments when work is completed
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Ability to manage vendors and coordinate material ordering and deliveries
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook. QuickBase experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, able to work independently with desire to learn and improve
- Manage time and complete assigned projects
- Promote teamwork within the department as well as companywide with a positive, cooperative attitude and willingness to help
Education and Experience
- Five + years’ experience in telecommunications consisting of understanding/scheduling tower installation of antenna, radios, dishes, and brackets, knowledge of shelter equipment including power systems, cable lacing, racks, Microwave radios, and basebands.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, and have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment checks, including motor vehicle record, background, and substance screening.
