Project Engineer
Maryland (Fully Remote)
A growing consulting firm is actively searching for a Project Engineer to join their team. The consulting firm provides civil engineering/permitting services to telecommunication clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Project Engineer would be expected to attend site walks, provide detailed field notes to internal design team, review designs in preparation for permit submission, and many other similar tasks. The Project Engineer will be knowledgeable in jurisdictional design requirements, internal design quality and checklists, and provide project updates to our internal cloud project management software. The Project Engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing standardization of design plans as well.
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily OSP Engineering to place conduit and fiber optic infrastructure.
- Experience performing site surveys and site walks for ISP Pathways
- Experience performing field surveys to locate topographical and utility features in the public Right of Way in order to translate this to CAD Design files.
- Experience reviewing design plans for permitting.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation would be preferred.
- Must reside in Maryland, Washington DC, or Northern Virginia.
- EIT or PE is preferred but not required.
