Telent, Project Manager (Rail)

England (Flexible location), Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to take charge and lead on some exciting projects within our Rail Projects team. You’ll be delivering projects at the cutting edge of technology and working with our clients within a transmission/infrastructure environment.

With projects already underway and more to due to start it’s a great time to join the team. You’ll be able to work with leaders in the field to deliver new projects on time and to budget with our customers.

What will I be doing?

• You’ll develop the overall project delivery and reporting processes to ensure delivery of assigned projects meet relevant standards
• You’ll deliver medium sized telecoms projects on time and to budget maximising opportunities where possible.
• You’ll be the main point of contact for our client, interfacing with your counterpart to ensure issues are managed effectively and delivery is efficient.
• You’ll manage the financial performance and reporting of all projects, including financial performance through Oracle
• You’ll provide detailed and regular project reviews, reports and KPI metrics for both telent and client review.
• You’ll drive a Health and Safety culture through the project delivery, always keeping staff safe.
• You’ll produce project documentation from initiation through to project close out.
• You’ll be responsible for subcontract selection and management.

What do I need to apply?

• Previous experience of project management within the rail industry
• Understanding of Network Rail procedures and standards
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
• Previous experience of profit and loss account and managing a budget
• Good working knowledge of MSP and Microsoft suite of tools
• An awareness of CDM
