GTT Communications
The Service Delivery Project Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and implementing cloud networking services for strategic, high-profile GTT clients. The PM needs to understand the customer’s project scope, verify technical requirements, coordinate internal and external resources, manage 3RD party vendors, ensure valid network configuration, deployment of equipment, and coordination of tech dispatches to install services to meet critical client and internal milestones. The Project Manager organizes the implementation of more complex services and higher order volume for project deliveries.
They will interact with the following internal departments: Service Delivery Coordinator, Order Assurance, Design Engineering, Circuit Design, Sales, Sales Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Dispatch, and Activations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates project plan and an implementation schedule
- Conducts project kick-off calls with internal and external stakeholders
- Identifies potential risks and create mitigation plans
- Initiates communication with high touch clients via emails, Ether vision, and conference calls
- Builds and maintains good client relationships and works to improve customer satisfaction to decrease churn
- Review the circuit design and proposed vendor solution to ensure the service is accurate and on an optimal path
- Creates customized implementation trackers to be utilized for internal workload management and weekly client updates
- Manages client expectations by providing meaningful updates to external and internal customers
- Tightly manages vendor installation to meet critical milestones and customer deadlines
- Escalates and resolves vendor and internal issues quickly across all aspects of the installation process
- Coordinates and participates in activations with vendors, customers and internal teams
- Ensures the procurement and tracking of GTT equipment shipment and tech installation to meet customer implementation timelines
- Determines the estimated completion of services per project that will be used for revenue forecasting
- Uploads documentation and maintains data in GTT’s internal system, CMD, to ensure accurate and timely handover of information to internal teams, Customers and Vendors
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3-5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, network solutions or related field
- PMP Certification preferred
Essential Criteria:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Requires higher level of coordination and organization
- Ability to stay calm in high pressure situations
- Proactive in nature, works to identify ways to continually improve efficiency and results
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced setting
- Anticipates and analyses problems clearly and determines appropriate solution or alternatives
Hours/Travel/Shift:
- Standard business hours M-F, no travel
