HCI Energy is leading the way to bring responsible power to the most remote locations in the world. Our self-contained Hybrid Power Shelter replaces historical reliance on diesel generators in communities, telecom/public safety towers, military ops, disaster relief efforts, and more. Our business is growing quickly and we’re looking for more bright minds to roll up their sleeves and join our office in Kansas City.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage complex hardware development projects, communicating with multiple departments to ensure all aspects are compatible and in sync.
- Create and maintain project timelines, defining project scope, goals, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Identify and direct all resources required to execute successful projects
- Facilitate communication across engineering, operations, marketing managers, and ODM partners
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering and Operations to define and prioritize product options
- Understand technical issues and drive them to closure with key stakeholders
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Lead cross-functional communication between project teams and external vendors
- Interface and coordinate with customers and outside vendors, and drive resolutions to issues as required
- Travel to customer or vendor sites as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or technical field
- At least three years of hardware project management experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Detailed knowledge of product development processes, and a strong understanding of complex manufacturing processes including a familiarity with mechanical enclosure parts.
- Experience interfacing with Operations, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Design, Marketing, and ODM partners
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands and creates success within rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
- Expert level proficiency in a project management software.
- Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
