Project Manager

Overview:

• Project expansion in need of an additional Project Manager
• Seeking full-time employee in support of a long-term AT&T project
• Candidates local to northern or central Louisiana will be prioritized

Responsibilities:

• Supervise team of Outside Plant Designers
• Assist State Manager with training employees and assigning work
• Conduct field reviews to ensure quality and safety
• Maintain crew productivity through leadership and expertise- review employee performance
• Update and maintain database- accepted, designed, and completed work submitted to AT&T for approval
• Assist in the bid process for acquiring projects and analyze work authorizations from the customer
• Attend customer held meetings and/or conference calls

Desired Skills:

• Telecom background is ideal, but relevant industries strongly considered
• Fiber design experience preferred- use of AutoCAD and/or ARAMIS a plus
• Proficient use of MS Office required- Excel, Outlook, Word
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, AT&T / Byers policies and procedures
• Capable of tracking multiple projects- provide status updates, identify and resolve any issues
• Daily task-oriented role with proven success managing individuals and groups
• Must have strong follow through skills with ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills + excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college- Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Engineering, or IT preferred, but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record

Work Environment:

• Position not required to report into office, but may require occasional travel within the state
• Daily collaboration with fellow Project Manager in southern Louisiana
• Work schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines

Compensation:

• $30 – $35/hr (depending on experience)
