Position Profile

Job Title: Project Manager

We are excited to be adding a Project Manager to the team to support our continued growth. You will be working closely with our technical team and Customers to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, schedules, and budgets are achieved. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

The Project Manager will be charged with the management, oversight, and delivery of medium to large scale communication technology projects in alignment with our “Centre of Excellence” mindset and brand. The Project Manager will bring to bear industry relevant experience, a historical portfolio of successful projects and success matters mindset to the Project Office and their specific projects.
This role will be responsible for providing management of communication technology-based projects that range from $500,000 up to $20,000,000 in size.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Manage project budgets and risk register.
• Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
• Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
• Utilizes written procedures and instructions related to Project Office best practices and

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides feedback on the use of those procedures to effect continuous improvement

• Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
• Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
• Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
• Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
• Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
• Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
• Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
• Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Project Manager Requirements:

• Proven working experience in project management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• Experience with project management software tools
• Exposure to quality standards such as ISO 9001:2015

Skills and Knowledge:

Technical Knowledge: Our world is wireless communication technology. Being well versed in the world of communication technology and wireless technology allows you to be a greater asset to the team and ultimately our customer base. The Project Manager will be exposed to a broad range of technology platforms and be a life learner who is constantly looking to improve their knowledge base is key.

Communication: The position requires timely and effective communication to be successful. Daily status updates, routine reporting, pre-planning, and end to end communication management for the project. This position will require you to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels and departments both internally and externally.

Planning and Problem-Solving: Success in this position requires someone that can implement short- and long-term strategies and set objectives for the team that will enhance the quality standards of the organization. This position requires a problem-solving mindset capable of detailed analysis to identify, categorize and resolve issues that arise.

Financial Management: The Project Manager must be able to understand and manage the budget for the project on an ongoing basis. Continuous review of project financial health and anticipation of potential issues, impacts or scope creep that may affect the overall profitability of the project. Effectively forecast project billables monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Innovation: Being innovative, flexible, and creative is important in this role. Success will require finding new ways to improve processes and deliverables. Projects and priorities will often shift, and it is important to adapt and adjust to the project and customer needs while providing leadership and direction to the project team.
