Our client has their sights set on upending the wireless industry and unseating the entrenched incumbent carriers by transforming the future of connectivity! They’re building America’s first virtualized, standalone 5G broadband network from scratch — with the power to foster some of the fastest, most agile technologies ever conceived. Their teams operate at the intersection of invention and purpose. They’re uniquely positioned to effect change across industries spanning autonomous vehicles, smart communities, health care and agriculture well into the future. We’re looking to hire a Vendor Manager to serve as the lead POC for all 3rd parties/Vendors tied to the Wireless launch. You will build and maintain strong relationships and ensure the successful delivery of software and features tied to this groups overarching roadmap and strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
- BA/BS in a technical or business discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or accounting)
- 2+ years of Vendor Manager, Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources and work well in a distributed environment
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience using Agile processes and methodologies
- Ability to plan for future work while maintaining the current delivery with rapidly changing priorities
- Rally / CA Agile Central experience a plus
Desired Skills:
· Prior experience working in the Wireless/Telecom industry
· Project Management Professional (PMP)
RESPONSIBILITIES/DAY TO DAY:
· Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
· Experience with feature delivery, change management, roadmap strategy and definition
· Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
· Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
· Prepare reports on account status
· Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
· Actively manage product value, usability, feasibility, and business risks
· Measure the effectiveness of product releases post-launch and iterate on product outcomes
· Use a prioritization framework for discovery of backlog features
TEAM INFORMATION:
This portion of the Retail Wireless Technology organization is in charge of all systems, applications and platforms that enable our clients Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) capabilities. This includes all technology used in retail wireless locations, management of 3rd party vendors and software like the MVNE (Virtual Network Enabler) they are using, and ownership of all greenfield application builds needed for customers to connect to this next-gen mobile network.
