Project Manager – Telecommunications:

Responsibilities include:

· Assess that multi-discipline engineering and design activities are completed in accordance with project scope, schedule, and cost and constructability requirements.

· Coordinate review of design documents.

· Develop project budgets, schedule and cost estimates for Engineering and Construction Management tasks.

· Assess cost, schedule, progress and technical quality of the project.

· Provide assistance during the client/contractor procurement process.

· Create bid evaluations for construction contracts and equipment procurement.

· Coordinate project management and engineering activities with involved and effected stakeholders, external entities and other engineering consultants and construction contractors.

· Conduct project meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes.

· Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule for overall program.

· Coordinate document control activities with the document controller.

· Coordinate and maintain the submittal, approval and return of shop drawings, samples, etc. between the client and the construction contractors.

· Manage design changes and ensure compliance with the client’s change control procedures. PM must assure proposed design changes are cost effective.

· Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Project Management Policies and Procedures and Governance processes.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a school accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

· Minimum of (15) years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

· Minimum of (10) years in project management.

· Project Management Professional certification preferred.

· Substantial knowledge of related disciplines and understanding of the effects on the client and its customers.

· Aware of changes and advancements in the industry and develop industry-wide expertise.

· Understand how the client interacts with outside organizations, including other utilities and regulatory agencies, and with its customers.

· Ability to understand the clients’ project budgets, costs, rate structures, and policies.

· Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

· Strong negotiating skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills focused on the results of data rather than on the data analysis procedures. In some cases, these “problems” may be associated with the client’s generation and transmission of electricity safely, at the lowest cost, or in developing expanded capabilities and services for customers.

· Ability to investigate and to develop solutions to non-routine problems.

· Demonstrated ability to handle a project from start to finish, with only major decisions being brought to the Project Manager.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and requires support only to confirm expected results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
