Dedicated Tech Services, Inc. (DTS) is an award-winning IT consulting firm based in Columbus, OH. We now have openings for Project Managers to work on a remote basis.

Job Description:

We are hiring experienced Project Managers as our direct W2 salaried or hourly employees, working for our client in a potential long-term (one year) contract. Our client is a well-known metropolitan university based in New York City. The selected candidates will:

· Co-lead the M365 Email transition with cloud background.

· If time allows, co-lead any of a wide range of projects including application development, software and hardware deployment or decommissioning, and implementations of off-the-shelf and custom software.

· Conduct business analysis of data and/or assist the college IT teams with their data clean up and analysis.

· Document business requirements and/or technical solutions and designs.

· Identify and implement ongoing use of project plans including baseline targets and forecasted tasks.

· Execute projects in accordance with agreed schedule, budget, and scope.

· Provide timely reports on variances to the approved project baseline and serves as the liaison for problem resolution and escalation.

· Schedule, direct, and document project team meetings.

· Identify, track, and champion close of project issues, risks, and change requests.

· Communicate with project stakeholders including sponsors, steering committees, user community and team members.

· Manage project-related coordination of testing and training activities, quality assurance reviews, and obtaining change management approvals.

· Identify and implement milestone charts, dashboards and project team reports for senior management.

· Work with and build exceptional rapport with university stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, unit and technical staff, SMEs, and students.

· Champion ideas and solutions, multitask under tight deadlines, and work in an environment with competing priorities.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required / Desired Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of 7-10 years of working on complex IT projects as a project manager

· Experience working in a university environment.

· Strong communication skills and business acumen to deal with stakeholders at all levels.

· Azure and M365 Teams with email

· Advanced Excel and Power Query skills

· Excellent troubleshooting skills

· Flexibility and ability to pivot.

· M365 email transition (and cloud) project experience.

· Data analysis experience

· Documenting business requirements and/or technical solutions and designs

· Managing project schedules, budgets, and scope

· Managing project issues, risks, and change requests

· Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible full-time professional information technology enterprise project management covering telecommunications, database administration, or a related area.

· Knowledge and proficiency in system development life cycle (SDLC) methods and processes.

· Technical knowledge and background in diverse areas that include academic support, PeopleSoft ERP, identity management, email, M365 and Azure, voice and data networking and security knowledge.

· Knowledge of third party tools, e.g. BitTitan and Quest, for mailbox content copying.

· Ability to champion ideas and solutions, multitask under tight deadlines, and work in an environment with competing priorities.

· Ability to build exceptional rapport with university stakeholders including faculty, unit staff, subject matter experts, technical staff, administrators, and students.

· Proficiency with all MS Office tools, including Project, Word, Excel, Power Query Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

· Outstanding communication skills with the ability to facilitate group discussions and communications.

· Education at an accredited college or university may be substituted for information systems technology experience (one year of college equals 6 months of experience; four years of college equals 2 years of experience).
