We are seeking a highly organized Project Scheduler to implement and oversee project logistics. In this role you will be collaborating with Project Managers as well as internal and external construction and installation resources. You will set tasks, coordinate assignment of resources and monitor the execution of project timelines. You will also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports.
To ensure success, Project Schedulers should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project management and scheduling. A top-notch project scheduler will be someone whose expertise leads to the successful realization of envisioned project goals.
Project Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring project timelines and deadlines.
- Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
- Documenting updates and changes to project schedules and records.
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports.
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner.
- Recommending actions to keep projects within budget.
- Ensuring all equipment needed is available on site.
- Meeting with engineers, architects and contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.
- Conducting ongoing quality inspections.
Project Scheduler Requirements:
- Five years of telecom construction experience.
- Two years’ experience as a Project Scheduler or Project Manager in telecommunications or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects in the telecommunication industry.
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
- Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Additional Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, or in a related field.
- PMP Certification
