If this sounds like you, the Provincial Telecommunications and Facilities Administration Lead with the Ministry of Forestry, Parks and Tourism be the perfect opportunity for you!

Reporting to the Manager of Wildfire Telecommunications & Facilities, the Provincial Telecommunications and Facilities Administration Lead helps to provide financial, human resources, and office management expertise to the Provincial Warehouse, Telecommunications, and Facilities Section. This role supports the Section’s budget monitoring, expenditure and forecast preparation, contract and procurement processing and accounts payable processing.

The Lead has the opportunity to create, implement, direct, and oversee administrative duties for the section, establishing innovative process solutions as applicable, while ensuring effective and efficient administrative services. This position ensures the Section’s compliance with the applicable regulations, agreements, and policies and procedures, while acting as the key contact for budget, human resources and administration information.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and coordinating the Section’s budget, preparing forecasts, and coordinating procurement cards, while ensuring sound fiscal practices and sufficient tracking and reporting
  • Review staffing requests for accuracy, maintain staffing list, ensure time data entry for wage personnel, and ensure training to Section employees
  • Coordinate and oversee all administrative functions, including developing and maintain guidelines, equipment asset management, liaising telecommunication requests, and oversees contracts and records management processes

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma plus four (4) years of related experience.

Directly related education or experience is considered on a one-for-one basis.

Additional requirements include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures
  • Financial administration experience, such as preparing forecasts or budget reconciliation
  • Contract administration experience

Assets include:

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or 1GX
  • Supervisory or leadership experience

Salary

$2,017.62 to $2,480.72 biweekly ($52,659 – $64,746 / year)

Notes

This position is a permanent, full-time role with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday. Final candidates be required to undergo security screening.
