Mariner Innovations is seeking a Software Developer with Python experience to join our IT Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for client-based projects and, in collaboration with our delivery and sales teams, you will deliver best of breed solutions to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:
Develops and documents a detailed design from a top-level design specification

Working with system design specifications, develops detailed specifications for software programming applications or test case

Designs, codes, debugs, and documents programs

Conducts system level testing

Involved in the maintenance and enhancement of existing operational application systems

Develops business knowledge and customer relationships where appropriate

Schedules and estimates development tasks

Performs code review of other developer’s components

Assists in developing code prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions

Qualifications

University degree in software engineering/computer science or eduvation and equivalent experience

5+ years of development experience, 2+ years experience with Python

Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

Ability to develop web-based applications (JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, JAVA SERVLET, XML, HTML, JSP, SOAP and REST)

Strong understanding of API integration, microservices architecture, and web service methods (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON)

Knowledge of database technologies: MongoDB, SQL, etc.

Experience working on Linux System

Experience in Telecommunications Industry is considered a strong asset

Experience within a consulting role is considered a strong asset
