We are currently seeking Telecommunications Qualify Inspectors to work in the field completing tasks for telecommunication infrastructure construction projects in our Wixom, Michigan location. This position requires strong knowledge and experience in working with underground and pole mounted fiber utility installations.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Working on job sites daily (in varied weather conditions) inspecting field work to ensure construction crews are placing fiber optic cable at correct depths of facilities, placement, correct number of pedestals/handholes, among other things, are installed and in the desired locations, in accordance with customer requirements.

• Interact with, subcontractors, local municipalities, and homeowners
• Perform job tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company policy
• Monitor and track completion of job sites
• Provide quality control to ensure construction/engineering standards/specifications are adhered to
• Conduct pre-job and post-job quality control
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced working environment

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of telecommunication engineering/construction practices
• Experience reading construction drawings and prints and verify production as reported
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel and possess basic computer skills
• Understanding of OSHA and municipal codes relative to Telecommunication work
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Must possess a valid driver’s license company provided vehicle and fuel while working
• Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Capable of performing repetitive physical motions that include bending, standing, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain (in varied weather conditions)
• 1 – 3 years telecommunications/utilities construction experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
