Radio Software Developer

About this opportunity

We are now looking for an experienced developer to develop and maintain Ericsson’s groundbreaking Radio products and solutions.

Your role will include requirement analysis, solution design, software implementation, software verification/test, support, and product documentation activities. Our development languages are primarily C,C++, Java, Python. Current role is more specialized into developing solutions and maintaining the released software at customer networks.

We work in cross functional agile teams with focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Experience in similar will be an advantage.

What you will do

• Perform Trouble Shooting and Customer Support for Radio software
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders). Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
• Trouble report handing and Create test set-ups.
• Identify cross dependencies and pull relevant resources into task forces or collaboration teams as needed
• Take ownership of SW quality and have customer interest at the centre of all solution proposals
• Be comfortable learning about new hardware and customer site configurations as well as to replicate setups in internal labs
• Carry out solution analysis & define implementation proposal for product- Unit/Module/System-level verification
• Collaborate with other HW, SW and component teams
• Participate in peer reviews and other inspection activities.
• Communicate inwards and outwards and lead solution delivery
• Drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes
• Should have very good analytical and problem-solving skills and thrive in a challenging environment.

You will bring

• Minimum Years of experience: 5 years
• Degree in Computer Science, Embedded Software, Electrical Engineering, Telecom engineering or equivalent.
• Hands on C, C++ experience and strong OOP background are must-haves for this position.
• Experience in customer support or customer issue resolution
• Experience in Python, Linux, Git/Gerrit, and Jenkins would be an advantage
• Good understanding of Wireless Communication Systems and the telecom industry
• Large scale SW development and product lifecycle management experience.
• An open demeanor for innovation, adapting, and responding to change.
• Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
• Focus on growth and continuous self-learning approach.
• Good communication skills to report both inwards and outwards
• Experience in remotely working with geographically distributed multinational teams is an advantage.
