job summary:

A Project Management Specialist is needed for a multinational aerospace corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and telecommunications equipment in the Everett, WA (hybrid) area. This position provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.

responsibilities:

• Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008).
• Identifies key stakeholder project objectives and requirements.
• Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
• Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
• Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management.

Skills:

• 5 or more years of experience in Project management.
• 3+ years’ experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
• 3+ years’ experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
• PMP cert strongly preferred unless tons of years of experience.
• 1 of 2 contractors needs strong Agile.

Education and experience:

• Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and
• Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).
