What you’ll be doing…

Customer demand for wireless data service keeps growing, and to stay ahead of demand, we’re deploying new technology macro cells as well as modifying existing sites. You’ll scout potential sites for new small cells (like existing utility poles, for example) and lead the site acquisition process. Your work will mean that even more users can connect to reliable high-speed wireless service, anywhere they live, work, and play.

  • Analyzing potential site locations and then creating business cases for site acquisition.
  • Handling vendors and purchasing during the site acquisition process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Working with partners like landlords, government employees, community officials and legal counsel.
  • Maintaining database systems and reports pertaining to cellular site projects.
  • Bidding sites out to turnkey vendors and choosing vendors for awards.
  • Establishing milestones and timelines, providing direction, communicating clearly across teams and functions, proactively taking action, and follow through.

You’re an expert project manager organized, efficient, and detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture. You can work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, even in challenging situations. You’re driven to solve problems and overcome hurdles, and you approach every situation with a can-do, team-player attitude.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in wireless leasing or zoning.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Five or more years of experience in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.
  • Experience in managing large cross-functional projects and programs.
  • Three or more years of experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
  • Ability to influence organizational direction and department talinitiatives.
  • Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organization skills and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
  • Experience in making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
  • Ability to be resilient and tenacious during tough assignments.
  • Ability to understand a project’s technical breadth.
  • Knowledge of a variety of network concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Experience in using the full suite of Microsoft Office.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $79,000 and $146,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
