We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate to join our Real Estate team focussing on development work.
The practice
Osborne Clarke LLP have an outstanding reputation in real estate due to the quality and breadth of our client base and the value and complexity of the work we undertake. We have made a long-term investment in our real estate practice both in the UK and internationally, offering extensive expertise in residential development, regeneration, RE investment, RE funds, logistics, student accommodation, commercial development, telecommunication, utilities & energy and retail.
We have a position for an Associate in the real estate team focusing on the residential developers. We have an outstanding national residential development practice, providing our clients with advice across all service lines at Group and Regional level. In the real estate team we advise our developer clients on their developments from concept to completion. We provide comprehensive advice across the entire project lifecycle and our team operate across all areas including strategic land, immediate land, joint ventures and regeneration schemes through to affordable housing, site set up, management structures and infrastructure agreements. This role will be focussing on the acquisition of land and you will work alongside a team of Partners and senior lawyers who are top rated experts in the sector across a range of different developments for different clients.
The team is a top rated national development team working for clients across the country and is supplemented by strong real estate litigation, construction, planning, tax and plots / site set up departments all of which form part of a powerhouse residential development practice.
Our clients
We act for numerous PLC clients – on a national, multi service line panel basis. Our list of clients is impressive and includes- Barratt, Vistry, Crest, Countryside, Taylor Wimpey, St Modwen, Sovereign, M&G and British Land to name a few.
The team
The real estate department is made up of 75 lawyers in total including 21 Partners in the UK. The residential team is made up of 7 Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 5 Associate Directors all supported by a team of dedicated Senior Associates and Associates. The team are also supported by a dedicated site set-up and plots administration and conveyancing teams.
Technical Skills And Experience
Due to the nature of the work and structure of the team we are looking to appoint an Associate in this area, however we are happy to consider candidates with more or less experience. We are looking for candidates who are driven, interested in and enthusiastic about development, enjoy a high level of client contact, can build long-term relationships with clients and are keen to develop and learn.
