As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be leading a team of four salespeople selling advanced behavioral employee engagement and sales performance programs to Fortune 1000 companies. You will be focused on managing and leading the team with full P & L responsibilities. The role reports directly to the Canadian President and includes a base salary of $150,000 plus uncapped bonuses, with a first-year earning potential of $200,000+

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS

The prospective customers are a small and focused group of strategically targeted accounts. You will be leading a team that calls on those at the CEO, President, Chief Revenue Officers, VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, VP of Human Resources, and others at various Director Levels.

THE POSITION

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be leading a team of four selling advanced behavioral employee engagement and sales performance programs to fortune 1000 companies. You will be providing your team with a list of accounts to strategically target. The salespeople’s role requires extensive research of the client through publicly available information such as annual reports and alike to identify their corporate focus, goals, and areas that can be improved by leveraging our clients’ customized solutions. Before your team makes a call on a potential client their research and pre-call planning will impress the client with their knowledge and directionally guide them when meeting with the client. This role is for the curious who can lead a team and immerse themselves in a client’s business and identify potential solutions that would help them achieve their corporate goals in strategically partnering with our client. Our client’s pricing model is not the cheapest and requires the ability to sell value and ROI. To assist the client provides internal product experts and resources to help acquire new business and post-sales implantation and post-sale account management.

Average order size is $250,000 +

The Sales Cycle is typically 6 – 12 months.

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES

Increase sales for the region

Attract, onboard & retain top-performing sales associates

Coach BDDs.Act as a positive role model for BDDs, emphasizing activity, effective interpersonal management style, and customer-centric focus.

Assign BDDs to designated accounts

Strategic Account planning, execution, and ongoing analysis utilizing Client Growth Plans.

Active involvement in all stages of the sales process with BDDs.

Development of key customer relationships

Facilitate ongoing training & development of BDDs

Manage Regional sales forecast

Manage P&L for the region

Administration, ensure Salesforce compliance

TERRITORY & OVERNIGHT TRAVEL

Greater Toronto Area

Less than 25%.

SUPPORT & TRAINING

Formal Classroom (travel required to US)

Mentoring/Shadowing

90% of training is product/technical focused

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

Min 7 years sales management experience selling B2B professional services to C-level executives at Fortune 1000 companies.

Understanding of employee retention/training, salesforce/channel motivation, or consumer marketing preferred

No more than 3 jobs in last 10 years.

Proven track record of successful selling

Understanding of forecasting and P&L

EDUCATION

BA/BS in business or related field preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Proficiency with Web 2.0 and SaaS solutions

CRM is Salesforce
