Piper Companies is seeking a Nighttime Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join a leading Network Infrastructure company for an employment opportunity. The Nighttime NOC Engineer will work with and support the NOC 24/7 team, supporting client production, QA, and Development environments, and ensuring company infrastructure adheres to its stringent SLA requirements.
The responsibilities of the Nighttime NOC Engineer include:
- Handling inquiries received from customers via phone, email, or ServiceNow ticketing system
- Monitoring system and network alarms via Netcool/Nagios
- Performing research, analysis, and isolation of alarms that require escalation, additional research, and/or triage
- Adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA), Operational Level Agreements (OLA), and internal processes
- Publishing information to the knowledge base (Confluence, Wiki)
The qualifications of the Nighttime NOC Engineer include:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of networking or systems support experience
- Experience with Firewall and ACL planning implementation
- Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, NetFlow, SNMP, and internet protocols
- CCNA certification preferred
Compensation for the Nighttime NOC Engineer include:
- Salary range:
o $85,000 – $100,000 per year + 10% annual bonus + 15% shift differential
