remote – Outside Plant (OSP) Designer – ARAMIS

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is now hiring a remote ARAMIS – Outside Plant (OSP) Designer. Designer can work from home and live anywhere in the US. Prefer contract to hire (will consider candidates only interested in direct hire) role with advancement opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader and work on some innovative projects.

Pay rate: $24-$25/hr (would consider a touch higher if has more design experience)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with OSP, Telecommunication and Fiber design
• Proficient with AT&T ARAMIS / Intergraph G/Technology
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, or Telecom, Engineering, or Drafting completed courses and diploma from a technical school or community college (preferred not required)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze plant records and determine next steps- manage workload and complete within given schedule
• Take field notes for the design of aerial, buried, underground, and building applications
• Prepare work order construction prints and record posting after completion of assigned work
• Utilize necessary systems and tools- daily CAD design and use of MS Office
• Act as point of contact for client- negotiate service requirements and timelines on existing, future, or unique undertakings
• Interact with internal and external customers- represent company and our client in a professional manner
• Coordinate with other entities (utilities, governmental agencies, contractors, developers) to determine accurate and efficient placement of shared / joint-use facilities
