A client in the in the West Houston area is looking for a Telecom Engineer to join their Infrastructure team to support an internal call center platform. This engineer will be the sole support contact for the Genesys platform and will be in charge of all the moves, adds, deletes, and changes. They will also troubleshoot user phones, resolve Call Path issues and provide support in different channels such as Salesforce, call recording and EDW. They will interact with the call center, help desk and the dev team on a daily basis. This engineer will be responsible of assisting with SIP migration processes by analyzing trunk-groups. This client has plans to move their on-prim telecom platform to the cloud so this person may take part in the migration of the new system the client will implement. This role is fully remote and a 8 month contract to hire.
Desired Skills and Experience *
5+ years of experience in Voice networking
Well versed in the telecom space
Experience with supporting and maintaining Genesys Pure Connect call center platform
Experience with VOIP technology such as SIP
Experience troubleshooting of user phone and Call Path issues
Basic Voice Gateway configurations and troubleshooting experience
Plusses
Experience implementing a new telecom platform
Experience with patching the servers on a phone system
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 – $70.00 per hour
