Basic Duties & Responsibilities
· Performs primary and secondary diagnosis and repair units which includes but are not limited to failed electronics devices, circuit boards and handheld devices using a variety of diagnostic tools
· Performs configuration of electronics devices which includes but are not limited to MDM Management, PC Doctor, device inspection, and flashing
· Utilizes schematics and diagnostic guides to determine the proper functioning of component, parts, and/or swap components
· Identifies failures and communicates findings to higher level Technicians and/or Engineers
· Operates production repair/test equipment and provide guidance to other technicians
· Subject to established practices and procedures in a specific technical discipline
· Gathers, interprets and enters failure data information into computerized tracking system and prepares reports
· Assists and performs test on repaired devices as needed
· Escalates test failure issues to higher level technicians and operations support team
· Performs advanced isolation and deep dive to identify root cause
· Provides training and support to entry level technicians
· Complies and follows all procedures within the company security and health policy
· Exhibits proficiency in the use of tools assigned
· Utilizes process documentations such as but not limited to the following; schematics, BOM’s, visuals, debug, repair, testing tools, repair manuals and procedures
· Supports and assists Test Engineer to install, develop, and maintain test equipment
· Analyzes daily reports and recommend solutions to technical problems as required
· Understands, recognizes and executes Ivy Technology Toronto production requirements, rules, policies and procedures ensuring compliance of WIP
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

· Electronics Technician or Technologist with A+ Certification or Hand Soldering skills or Equivalent Degree/Diploma
· Advanced PC and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
· Must have prior experience repairing electronic devices and components, capable of debug, rework and functional tests and OS upload – should be able to open and close various devices at ease
· Technical work experience is a must
· Advanced diagnostic skills
· Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using applied operating system and related software
· Be independent and take the initiative to resolve the problems
Minimum Target
o Ability to repair minimum 10 laptops units per day or
o Ability to repair minimum 15 A Class units per day or
o Ability to repair minimum 8 B Class units per day or
o Ability to repair 6 C Class unit per day
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.45 per hour
